Rio Olympic Games - Judoka’s Passinho The judoka Rafaela Silva was controversially eliminated at the London Olympics, suspected of trying to cheat. Since Brazil still deals with a lot of racism, the black athlete was a victim of prejudice in social media. Few people believed in the comeback of the judoka, who was born in a Rio de Janeiro favela. But Infraero Airports, official sponsor of Brazilian Judo, believed her turnaround would happen, and that it would be at home. So they've created a new and fun way of cheering, inspired by the Judo movements as well as by Passinho – a street dance of the favelas – to create the Judoka’s Passinho. The video clip had the athlete's participation, became a media sensation and the results couldn't be better: Rafaela Silva won an Olympic gold medal.
